January 6th: the divide that binds

The January 6th “Insurrection Day” agitprop coverage was even more awful than I imagined it would be. Vice –President Giggles delivered a typically lying speech which compared 1/6/2021 (one unarmed white woman shot and killed without warning by an African American Capitol Policeman, no one actually charged with insurrection) to 12/7/1941 Pearl Harbor (2400 Americans killed in a surprise attack by the Empire of Japan) and 9/11/2001 September 11 (3000 Americans killed by Islamist jihadists, who in the words of brother marrying Somali immigrant/refugee Rep. Ilhan Omar, “did something”. Not to be outdone by his truth-challenged affirmative action pick, President Brandon followed by comparing January 6th to the Civil War (1 million Americans dead). The execrable Attorney General Merrick Garland promised to prioritize the pursuit and prosecution of evil insurrectionists over domestic terrorist parents objecting to teachers’ unions closing schools, promoting useless and damaging mask mandates and teaching critical race theory, and lying about it, although only just barely. Little Red Lying Hood Brandon spokeswoman Jen Psaki added that it was perfectly fine for the teachers’ unions and educrats to “repurpose” hundreds of millions of dollars of American Rescue Plan educational aid to fight the pandemic and keep schools open to instead promote critical race theory, anti-racism, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts to combat implicit bias and white supremacy. Of Course.

The legacy media trumpeted the Democrat’s basic message (that is after all their mission): Democracy is in danger from deplorable Republicans and white supremacist Trump voters who must be “deprogrammed” and the Democratic proposals to pass “voter reform” laws assuring that Democrats can engage in as much voter fraud as necessary must be passed forthwith. Democracy must be protected by eliminating and/or neutering the filibuster, federalism, Republicans (except for the Lincoln Project grafters and quislings like Liz Cheney), Fox News, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, the unvaccinated, freedom of speech and religion, guns and white privilege. My University of Maine colleague Amy Fried used her Bangor Daily News column to make the Democrats case, restating their talking points as is her formula and right. If I left anything out, I apologize to my woke betters and will report to my assigned re-education camp for deprogramming when Rep. Marjory Taylor Greene does.

How is that pledge to promote unity going Joe? Let’s Go Brandon!

The Ukraine: Anything worth sending Americans to die for?

Vladimir Putin has amassed almost 200,000  Russian troops on the Ukrainian border. He is threatening to invade Ukraine (again, having already done so without significant penalty in Crimea on the Black Sea) and to respond to any European/NATO objections with crippling energy blackmail and threats to NATO allies in the Baltic. President Brandon has promised “devastating” sanctions if Putin invades. Sounds like Obama’s Syrian “red line” to me. After our masterful Afghanistan surrender, I am sure Putin is trembling, but I actually hope we do not sacrifice any blood or treasure in Ukraine. They are not (and should not become) members of NATO, nor should we commit ourselves to protecting them.

Joe’s son Hunter got millions of dollars for the Biden crime family from both Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs (aka organized crime in the former USSR). It is possible you never heard about this because Big Tech and the legacy media did their best to suppress this information during the Obama and Trump administrations and prior to the 2020 election. Trump’s effort to expose this corruption was the principal (t) reason the Deep State and outraged Democrats impeached him the first time.

It so happens that my father’s family emigrated from that portion of Eastern Ukraine currently under threat. They left because of anti-Semitic czarist Russian pogroms. The Ukrainian and Russian economies and governments are notoriously corrupt. Ukraine is a Russian “sphere of influence” just like the Caribbean is for America.  In my opinion, there is no compelling national interest justifying our intervention in Ukraine, and the Biden crime family’s actions there do not qualify.
