PFC Ethan M. Moores, 18, died unexpectedly May 27, 2020, at U.S. Marine Corps Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, joining his mother Danielle D. Moores, and infant brother Waylon in Heaven. He was born June 4, 2001, in Machias, to Matthew and Danielle Moores.

At a young age, he desired to become a Marine and signed up for the delayed entry program. Following his graduation from Shead High School class of 2019, he fulfilled that dream and joined the U.S Marine Corps. He also enjoyed mudding, 4-wheeling, and target shooting.

 

He is survived by his father Matthew Moores; paternal grandfather Cecil Moores and partner Barbara Sellitto; his paternal grandmother Reba Dineen and her husband Patrick; maternal grandparents Wayne and Millie Moores; uncle Justin and wife Kelly , aunt Heather Brackett and husband Jason, uncle Adam and wife Nicole, aunt Natasha Robinson and husband Chris, aunt Erica Parker and husband Henri; several great aunts and uncles; many cousins and friends.

 

Visiting hours will be held at the Lubec American Legion from noon until time of graveside services with full military honors to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 6, 2020, at the Greenfield Cemetery, Lubec where he will be laid to rest with his mother and brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations in Ethan's memory be made to the Veterans' Charity of one's choice.
