Machias takes next step toward ‘adult use marijuana’ ordinance

by Sarah Craighead Dedmon

Fifteen residents and business  owners came out for the Machias Selectboard’s second marijuana workshop on the rainy night of Thursday, May 3. The board is drafting an adult use marijuana ordinance that will eventually be voted on by the town, though it will not be completed in time for the June town meeting. “Adult use marijuana” is the state’s new term to replace “recreational marijuana.”
