The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) is proud to honor Geri Bryant, Administrator of Sunrise Care Facility in Jonesport, Maine, as a 2016 recipient of the ACHCA Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. The award, named in memory of visionary ACHCA member Eli Pick, recognizes administrators whose teams have achieved dimensions of organizational quality that few others have been able to reach. Two hundred and eighty-eight administrators were awarded leadership awards nationally.

Hundreds Strong, Bike Maine Rides Bold Coast

For seven days next September, some 400 cyclists and accompanying support personnel will ride The Bold Coast, from Winter Harbor to Eastport and back again, the Bicycle Coalition of Maine announced this week. 

The host communities include Winter Harbor and Acadia National Park, Millbridge, Jonesport, Machias, Lubec and Eastport.

DA Provides Update On Missing Wesley Money

More than two years after $44,000 went missing from the Wesley town office, District Attorney Matt Foster has admitted that he has no idea when the investigation will end.

Last week when reports surfaced that the case had been solved, the thief identified and a plan for payback was in the works, Foster responded. “That is completely untrue. The investigation continues,” he said. “The former sheriff’s department is not familiar with these types of financial crimes, and that’s why this has taken so long.”
